How To Post To Your Google My Business Listing

Step By Step: 

 

  1. Log in to Your Google Account 
    • Make sure you're logged in to the Google Account associated with your business. This is typically the account you used to create or claim your Google Business Profile. 
  2. Access Google My Business: 
    • Go to the Google My Business website (https://business.google.com) and sign in with your Google Account. 
    • Alternatively, you can use the Google My Business mobile app if you prefer to post from a mobile device. Download the app from your device's app store, sign in, and access your business profile. 
  3. Select Your Business Location 
    • If you manage multiple locations, choose the specific business location you want to post for by clicking on “See Your Profile” for the specific location. 
  4.  Create a New Post: 
    • In the menu on the left of your profile, click on “Add Update”. You can post information about an update, an event or an offer. Choose the one that best fits your content. 
    • Write your post: Add the text for your post. You have a 1500 character limit, so keep your message concise and engaging. 
    • Add a photo or video: You can add an image or video related to your post. This visual content can help your post stand out. 
    • Add a button (optional): Depending on the post type, you may have the option to include a button that links to your website, a specific page, or a call-to-action like "Buy" or "Learn more." 
    • Set an event date (if applicable): For event posts, you can specify the date and time of the event. 
    • Preview your post: Review your post to make sure everything looks as you want it to. 
  5. Publish Your Post: 
    • Click the "Preview" button to see how your post will appear to users. 
    • If you're satisfied with the preview, click "Publish" to make your post live. 
  6. Monitor and Manage Your Posts: 
    • You can view and manage your posts from the "Posts" section in Google My Business. 
    • You can also edit or delete posts if needed.

All content added to a Business Profile must abide by Google’s prohibited and restricted content policies. These policies apply to all content formats including reviews, photos, and videos. Profiles and content that does not meet these criteria may be rejected from publication on Google.
